Tai Ceredigion has recently been certified by Cyber Essential Plus- a Government-supported and industry-backed scheme which aims to verify that organisations have the appropriate ICT security protocols in place to stave off a cyber-attack. Tai Ceredigion joins the small number of housing associations in receiving this level of certification.
The Cyber Essentials Plus scheme is an externally certified cyber security standard, which organisations can be assessed and certified against. It identifies the security controls that an organisation must have in place within their IT systems in order to have confidence that they are addressing cyber security effectively and mitigating the risk from Internet-based threats.
Gavin Harvey, Head of IT and Business Improvement at Tai Ceredigion, commented: “At a time when Housing Associations are increasingly under threat from cyber-attacks and in need of a high standard of cyber security, we are very proud to have recently received a Cyber Essential Plus accreditation”.
